OUR STORY
Sometimes we may think church is for perfect people, but Jesus taught us that it is not the well who need a doctor . . . We are a group of people trying to get better, but accepting one another with the grace that God accepts us with. We are a body of people seeking the Kingdom of God, connecting together and making friends, and growing in the Word of God.
Here at The Living Word we teach the uncompromised Word of God. The Word the Lord gave to us when we were starting was that we were to “Build Strong Homes and Families.” You will find that many of our programs are built with families in mind. Your home is your very first church, so it’s important that you learn how to love from within the home, and then build from that starting position. We believe we can help. Whether you find yourself in a perfect situation, or broken and confused, the Word of the Lord will strengthen you and your life.
Not only do we focus on family teaching, but also you may have already noticed, we spend a great deal of time and energy here focusing our attention on the nursery, the children, and the youth. We want our programs to be truly instilling Godly principals into the children. Our focus is not fun and games, but a time of true growth. (Of course, we still mix in plenty of fun!) We facilitate an environment for children to make life-long friendships with other Christian kids.
Recognizing the importance of family we also recognize that we are the family of God, jointly fit together in love. We have programs for singles, seniors, college age and just about every other group of people you can imagine. We want you to find a place here where you can connect, grow, and find a place to serve and meet others in hopes of forming lasting Godly relationships.
If you are visiting from another church, we would like to say “Welcome,” but if you are looking for a church home, we would like to say from our hearts to yours . . . “Welcome home.” We would like you to feel right at home here with us, where we believe our God is a good God, who has wonderful promises in store for His children. God has promised for you throughout His Word, blessings, wealth, health and peace.
